The programme began with an invocation song by Prof. Shoba G. Kengapur. Floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Shirasangi Lingaraj by the Chief-guest, Principals, Staff and invitees. P.U. Principal S. A. Gani accorded a warm welcome to the Chief-guest, the president and the invitees. Prof. V. S. Kattimath introduced the Chief-guest his Holiness Shri.
