Mentoring System

The institution has adopted a well defined Mentoring System for Students, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a view to:
  1. Give individual care and attention.
  2. Proper guidance and encouragement to achieve excellence in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
  3. Redress the students’ grievances.
  4. Render equitable services to all the students.
At the beginning of the academic year faculty members are nominated as mentors for a definite group of students and their role and responsibilities in moulding students’ career and future endeavours are briefed in the meeting. This mechanism serves the purpose in the following ways:
  1. To improve students’ academic performance and attendance.
  2. To identify and understand the strengths and weaknesses of the students and chalk out plans and strategies to overcome the weaknesses, if any.
  3. To guide and counsel the students.
  4. To organize orientation programmes seminars, workshops and conferences in order to sensitize the students about the various activities of the Institution.
