The Department of Economics is one of the founder department of K.L.E. Society’s J. G. College of Commerce, Hubballi. The department was established in 1947. It is one of the leading department of our college. Since from its inception. The subject of economics is offered as a regular course for all the students.
Ensuring all main streams of areas of economics are strongly represented in teaching for overall growth of the students. The department is well equipped with good infrastructure for teaching and research activities. The faculty of the department has been activity associated with the college and imparting quality education in theoretical and application of economics in life. Economic department ever since its inception. It is achieving academic excellence and also providing applied edge to the course being offered in all 6 semesters over a period of time.
The department has played an active role in all the academic and non academic activities of the college. The Faculty are well organized in taking an imitative and also to complete the assigned task.
