Department of Languages

Language is a powerful means of communication, a fine tool for artistic creation, literary compositions and a vital medium for the expression of our valuable thoughts and ideas and thereby preserving our culture. In fact knowledge is encased in and proliferates through language. Such is the importance of languages in the growth and development of human civilization.

The Department of Languages came into existence with the establishment of the College in 1947. Since then the Department of Languages is functioning taking care of the literary inclinations of the students. It organizes activities and competitions like Essay Writing, Debate and Elocution to whet the hidden skill and talent of the students.

The Department of Languages ably headed by stalwarts has molded the personality of innumerable students over the decades.The following staff members have enhanced the importance of Language Departments and the role of languages in the life of students. The Departments offer a wide array of transferable skills necessary for the global students.
