B.COM and M.Com Programme under Revised New Education Policy 2020

The Salient Features of the Programme

  • It is a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) under Semester Scheme.
  • The programmes comprise of about 73% Discipline Specific Core Courses as Major subjects/Papers, 23% Ability Enhancement Courses comprising Languages, Practical skill and constitutional values and 4 % Elective Courses.
  • The relative importance of Courses of the study is measured in terms of credits.
  • The declaration of result is based on Aggregate Percentage of marks obtained and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) earned.
  • There is a provision to transfer the credits earned by the candidate during transfer from one institution to other.
  • The programme permits the consideration of credits earned from SWAYAM and other platforms recognized by the University.
  • The Programme has special provisions for independent learners to earn additional credits from inter / intra disciplinary subjects apart from mandatory credits.
  • All the under graduate degree programmes shall have Six semesters duration unless specified otherwise.
  • Each academic year shall have two semesters; odd and even semesters.
  • Each semester shall have 16 weeks (06 days per week system) with 90 working days (excluding Sundays and other holidays).
  • The candidate if discontinued during study shall renter the programme to complete the degree with the prevailing syllabi within six years from date of his/ her registration in the academic year for degree programme.
  • All candidates shall be awarded Bachelor’s degree on successful completion of six semesters (03 years) undergraduate programme unless and otherwise it is specified.
