The NCC unit of the college has a capacity to enroll 160 cadets with a provision to admit lady students. The unit has been making consistent efforts to instill discipline, sense of duty, patriotism and moral values in the youth. It has produced many disciplined cadets in the past who have brought Laurels to the college by participating in the Republic Day parade.

in line with these aims of NCC, the college has been making every effort to achieve them. Regular parades on every Sunday are being held. All the cadets must strictly adhere to the rules and regulations laid down. The college has been making tremendous progress through sincere efforts in this sphere.

The NCC unit of the college has a capacity to enrol 160 cadets with a provision to admit lady students into the unit from the academic year 2003-04. The students who take admssion to PUC-I can also join NCC depending upon the number of seats available. The unit has been making consistent efforts to instill discipline, sense of duty, patriotism and moral values in the youth. It has produced many disciplined cadets in the past who have brought credit to the college by taking part in the Republic Day Parade, Camps, Competitions, etc and getting laurels to the college. The college NCC unit is managed by Captain C S Patil who is a professor of the college.



♦ To develop character, comradeship , discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfness services amongst the youth of the country

♦ To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of the nation

♦ To provide a suitable environment to motivation the youth to take up a career in armed forces

♦ JUO Pavitra Nanganur. and Sgt. Pushpa Phadaki were finaly selected for Delhi Thal Sainik Camp from Mysore Camp, and returned backon 3rd Now 2008.At Delhi Sgt,Pushpa Phadaki was awarded Gold Medal in hygiene and Sanitation written test Competition.

♦ On 5 th Feb 2009 the Ex-NCC Cadet Ganesh Bajantri received Director General NCC Commendation Card at Bangalore.He was the first NCC Cadet receiving this award in the history of 28 NCC Kar Battalion and college.

♦ On the 8thAug.2008 AIDS Awarness Programme by Govt. India. was organised at Hubli Rlay,station and all College students and staff paticipated in the function.

♦ Pushpalata Korishettar the Ex-NCC Cadet Awarded Sahara NCC Merit scholarship of Rs 12,000/- for the year 2009. This scholarship is awarded for undergoing 3 years of NCC training from PUC I year and securing 76 % in PUC II year examination of 2008.

♦ World Dibities Day was celebrated on 16th,Nov,2008. And a Rllay was organised form B.V.B.Engineering Collage to inira Glass House.As many as 129 Cadets Participated in the rally.

♦ NCC Day was celebrated on 8th Feb of 2009.Smt.Geetha. Kulkarni CPI of Bangalore Traffic was Chief Guest for the function.Again Ex-NCC Cadet Shri.Umesh Chikkamath. for the 5th year sponsored 22 prizes to the NCC Cadets.Shri. Sandeep Navale the Ex-NCC Cadets presented cash 500/- each to the two TSC and one R.D.Cdets.And on behalf on NCC Cadats Maj C.S.Patil Presented mobile worth Rs.3,000/- to the TSC Girl Cadets.

The NSS Unit of the college has added spectacular feathers to its cap. The voluntary service by the volunteers are not just appreciated in the college but all over the city. Regular activities of social service is a part of our life.

HIGHLIGHTS OF NSS ACTIVITIES :

♦ On 12th October 2009, about 25 volunteers visited the villages severally affected by recent floods in Navalgund Taluk namely Javur, Ballur, Shishuvinahalli etc., and distributed 12 quintals of Rice, grains and flour to the victims.

♦ NSS Day was celebrated on 10th October 2009. Dr. N.Y. Mattihal, Department of Kannada, KUD was the Chief Guest.

♦ On 2nd October 2009, under the auspicious occasion of “Gandhi Jayanti”, 12 volunteers of the NSS Unit donated blood.

♦ On 15th August 2009, NSS volunteers visited Chikkenkoppa Ashram for Blinds at Navanagar Hubli and donated musical instrument (tabla) to them.

♦ On 20th March 2009 NSS volunteer participated in “walk for water rally” jointly organized by Water Literacy Foundation and Deshapande Foundation Hubli.

♦ NSS special camp was held at Sulla village from 28th February 2009 to 6th March 2009. The volunteers helped in renovation of age old Kalmeshwar Temple at Sulla and under took many social and community services.

♦ NSS volunteers Miss. Pushpalata M Korishettar and Mr. Chandrashekar M Kammar attended State level RD Parade at Bangalore on 26th January 2009.
